Delicious, delicious, delicious!! Located in a sleepy strip mall I wasn't expecting much but Kabobji is really worth the trip if you like Middle Eastern food. The service is excellent - friendly and professional and the food is top notch - all the favorites, hummus, shwarma, PLUS they bake the pita fresh(!) throughout the meal.

Good stuff - good food, decent service. We came in when it was almost empty and wanted to sit at a table bigger than our party - were not allowed. I can see the logic on a friday night when traffic is high - but if there almost no other people there - why not allow customers to sit where they feel more comfortable sitting.

This is the best restaurant in North Miami. The food is fresh and consistently great. I would recommend the veggie mesa as the best way to sample the amazing falafel, hummus and baba ghanoush. The beef ghallaba is our favorite dish and it is just unbelievably good.

I went here to have dinner with a friend and it was absolutely a great choice and reasonably priced! I recommend starting your meal with lane (a middle eastern white cheese that is AMAZING!) Save room for the tea and mint, you cannot have a traditional Middle Eastern meal and end without it!

Went back to Kabobji last week, since Benihana was too packed to accept my complimentary birthday meal coupon and had a blast. We met the manager, Mo (short for Mohammed), who is quite the comedian. Service was excellent, as were the stuffed grape leaves, which are lemony, the warm pita bread, and the mixed shawarma, which comes with tender chicken and meat, sprinkled with cinnamon. The garlic sauce that accompanied the entree had the perfect amount of garlic. Their mint tea is very strong yet sweet (it has fresh mint leaves), and perfect for someone who is cold or sick (I had a cold and it helped me feel better). For dessert, I recommend trying the knafe, although it takes a few minutes to be ready. It's like nothing you have ever tried! You will be fighting over it! We had a great time and look forward to returning!

Ohhhhhh myyyyyyy, I love this little restaurant. The food is the best I've had in Florida!! The portions are large, fresh and so tasty. I'm so happy I found this gem:) I tried the meat grapeleaves, kafta, fattoush and chicken shawarma sandwich allll were amazing. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

This has to be one of the best middle eastern restaurants i have EVER been to, the food the service and the hookah is great. Will most definitely be going here again, and again. :)

Excellent middle eastern food! Generous portions and great taste. The service was very good and the atmosphere was great. Quiet place with lovely ambiance. I have been coming to this restaurant for a few years and the food is always perfect. Keep it up! I will return!

We came over from Oleta Park trying to find a place for lunch, knowing that this strip mall has several options. Hiro's and Outback are institutions there, plus a few other options: little restaurants which keep opening and closing ever so often. We chanced upon this one and glad we did! Food was excellent, so much better than Pasha or Daily Bread, or any of the Middle Eastern place I've tried here. I am not an expert on Middle Eastern food so I can't claim it as the most authentic, but for me it's definitely the tastiest. The atmosphere is casual, though decoration is not spartan. Great fo us coming over from Oleta Park. I got the veggio trio, an amazing value at $5.99. It's a wrap wth hummus, falafel and tabouleh salad. At most other places I'd have to choose one or the other, but now I have all I want in one wrap! The falafel's crunchiness and the tabouleh's fresness elevate this wrap to a heavenly level! Enjoyed every single bite of it and still dreaming of it. The meat wraps are $6.99 or less. Main courses are considerably more. We also got a cezve of turkish coffee for $5, enough for two with refills. I was planning to get a bubble tea next door, but ended up ordering the coffee. The coffee has a hint of cardamom but not sweetened. Nice finish to the satisfying meal. I was tempted to flip the cup of ground onto the saucer to see what my future beholds, but worried that I'd spill the coffee all over the table and become an embarrassment... Well, that much is clear... no fortune teller needed to divine that I will be back! Often! Also, when I told my friend who lives nearby about this place, he told me that at night they have hookahs too.

Hands down the best middle eastern restaurant I've ever eaten at. I am from NY/NJ area where there are a lot of these kinda of places and I have not eaten at a place like this before! The meat was so exquisitely tender and juicy! I had the lentil soup after hearing about it on yelp and I'll tell you- I def dont do lentil soup: wow this was amazing. For dinner I got the chicken and beef shawarma. The rice was amazing and the meat as I said was prepared to perfection. Can't wait to come back!

First time I ever had middle eastern food and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Service is great very friendly and attentive. Seating is a little tight but they are opening additional space soon. If you get a meal portion size is huge. I adore the chicken shawarma. It's a great place for an intimate gathering or a date. Definitely recommend!

This was my first time eating Middle eastern cuisine,so I have nothing to compare the dishes to except what my taste bud tells me. The food was really good and plentiful. We order the Veggie trio, lentil soup, Mixed Shawarma Ghallaba We were stuffed by the time we got up from the table and had enough food for lunch the next day. The falafel was delicious, as soon as I got home I goggled falafel recipes, I'm going to experiment making these at home. I doubt it will be as good though. Now the service wasn't awful but it wasn't the best, we had three different servers and I had to ask for the pita bread not a deal breaker but I would have preferred one friendly server.

We love Kabobji and eat there quite frequently. Since their expansion we have never waited for a table, the service is abundant and attentive, and their unique menu is delicious!

Ya know that friend that always has gum on them? Well, I am that friend and I hate you. Get your own damn pack of gum! Anyhoo, the point of my rant is that I ate at Kabobji the other day and instead of going for my usual piece of gum post meal, I let it linger. I'm sorry, I know that's gross but you all know what I mean. It's that feeling when a meal is so good, you want to savor it. I bought a simple dish of chicken and rice and the chicken was seasoned well and the rice was delicious. It came with two ample chicken breasts that I was able to split into two meals which was nice at the $14.99 price. I look forward to coming back for more on payday.

Not being at all familiar with Lebanese food, we stuck to the basics. Pita bread, piping hot, was brought to the table. It was fresh and delicious. Next came our house salad, included with our entrees. Greens, chopped cukes and tomatoes in a vinaigrette which was bursting with flavor, topped with pita croutons, almost certainly home made. Perfectly delish! The main courses did not dissapoint. We had beef schwarma, which had a unique, aromatic, very pleasant flavor. The chicken kabobs were very good as well. Each dish came with rice (or we could have chosen fries), which was good, but could have been a little more flavorful. A baklava dessert was a nice ending to a very pleasant meal. We tried both the pistachio, and the walnut. Both were good, but I think I give the edge to the walnut. I like the flavors of this place. We will be back here, and hopefully get a little more daring when exploring the menu. One negative for me...no wi-fi, so I won't do lunch here.

Two words. Beef. Shawarma. One of the most flavorful, simple, and satisfying dishes I've encountered in Miami. Order it with rice and their lentil soup--it won't disappoint. Their tahini is about as close to perfect as can be. Service was spot on, but nothing above and beyond the call. Our waiter was very friendly and made the experience all the better. How nice to encounter a restaurant where their passion for food comes across in the flavor of their dishes and not just the breadth of their menu!

  • NB K.

What a wonderful surprise! This restaurant did not fulfill even one of my preconceived notions. The facility is warm and inviting, clean and efficient. The service was attentive and warm. The servings were unexpectedly generous -- we ordered 4 appetizers for the two of us, and hardly made a dent! The tomato kibbeh was wonderful. I'd never heard of it before and ordered it because the description was delicious. The pita was hot and fresh. You can't get better for the price. We will definitely return.

Been here twice, very good ME food. I will be back to keep trying everything on the menu. The Hummus is some of the best I have had outside of the Middle East.

  • Ricky O.

Overall great experience! I really, really, really, really like this place. the place is a decent size, very orange inside, nice staff, etc. I thought everything was soooooo good. I did some hummus and pita and the mixed (beef and chicken)shwarma plate . WOW! I enjoyed all of it and will definitely go back. I want to try some wraps next time. A must try!

  • Teresa K.

This place is SO yummy! We went there at 10pm on a Saturday night and it was busy. We saw people enjoying hookahs outside. We ordered a small greek salad, hummus, and 2 chicken schwarma wraps which everyone raves about. Every single thing we had was delicious. The hummus was super creamy and flavorful and the wraps came in a crispy, thin pita which I really enjoyed. Note: The only thing I will warn you of is don't go here on a first date. The garlic breath you will leave with will be extraordinary. But do definitely check this place out.

I've had a nice little tour of some of Miami's Middle Eastern eateries thanks to my boyfriend and have found this one to be among my favorites! The service was GREAT, but the bf happens to frequent at least once a week, so he's on a first name "habibi" basis with most of the staff. My favorite was the salad and I would go back JUST for it. I also had the chicken shawarma but it had a little too much garlic sauce for my liking. The chicken and beef kabobs were delish and the meal (with fries and a salad) was enough for two! I was warned that the falafel appetizer wasn't going to impress me but I really enjoyed it. A 4 person lunch ran about $50. They have outdoor, pet friendly seating and several tables and booths inside. It also looks like they have a pretty extensive wine rack and are planning to take over the space next door!

Amazing food. We went there as a group. Ordered lots of food. All the dishes were top notch and tasted great. The waiter was really nice. I highly recommend this place for their food and service. In my books that's a 5 star all the way.

I decided to try this place mainly due to our restaurant.com coupon. The place was half empty on a Friday night a few weeks back. The waiter was extremely friendly and helped to persuade my husband to go outside his comfort zone (chicken breast, yawn). I ordered an iced tea. There wasn't a pinch of sugar in it (wasn't for me). I started with a soup (harira) which was very tasty. Our meals (forget the names but were both meat dishes) were very good and the portions were huge, enough for lunch the next day. First time having a turkish coffee...I loved it, husband hated it.

Update: Returned here during a recent trip to South Florida & it was as good as or better than our first visit. I'm upping my rating to 5 stars based on the food. No, it's not a fancy place and yes, it's in a strip mall, but that's fine with us. We had a moussaka app that was out of this world, the chicken & lamb kabobs were fantastic, and the rice (similar to basmati...with shaved almonds as I recall) was amazing. Would def recommend if you're in the area.

We ventured to Aventura Mall an wanted to have a different meal when we came upon Kabobji on Yelp. Let me say that i have traveled the world and have had my share of ethic foods so i can tell you that Kabobji was amazing! The fried kibbeh was very tasty perfectly seasoned ( you could taste the spices) and the best part was that it was not dry. Everything was home made and excellent. Get the chicken shawarma...beyond great!

The house salad and mixed shwarma were fantastic. This place was still packed well after noon. I rarely give an informal eatery a five, but this place earned it. The service is extremely friendly.

I really tried to like this place.. And you would think it's easy because the food is honestly good. The problem with this place is that the service is awful. I have gone about 4 tines and everytime I go it's worse. On my last visit we had an awful server. He forgot our order can back and asked us to remind him. I did with no problem. The problem was he was really inattentive the few times he came to the table was to drop off food and he would literally drop it avoid eye contact and run. The final straw was when my bf asked for a lentil soup earlier and it never arrived. We asked for the check and the soup was on there... Since he didn't go Yo the tables I got up said we didn't get the soup and he answers you should have reminded me with the biggest scowl on his face... LOL These small places need Yo understand that the quality of there food should b equal to the quality if service... Because people(and there friends) will find other places to go... So if you want good food and to be tortured and ignored this is your place! Lmao

Began sharing fatoosh with a good mix of peppers, lettuce, onions and tomatoes. Nicely spiced too. Then we were served some delectable cream of mushroom soup (Campbell's be damned!) Our main courses were a tangy Ghallaba with chicken and a second chicken dish, wonderfully heavy on the cilantro with an unusual (for us anyway) native green vegetable --much like but frankly better than- spinach. Our waiter told us that a regular Lebanese customer calls in advance to make sure the vegetable is on the menu. Sounds like a smart person. Friendly and efficient service as well as portions larger than expected. And a chance to have Moroccan beer for the first time. As expected, a light and sweet treat. Believe the yelp majority here and give these folks your business!

We ordered the chicken kafta, enough for two people, and two appetizers. The makanek is mini beef Lebanese sausage sautéed in pomegranate syrup. I've never had anything like it- the flavor combination is so exquisite and fun to eat. The second appetizer was Baba Ganoush, which could easily taste bland and uninteresting if not prepared correctly. This place got it just right! The Kafta was a great follow-up, the meat was tender and very flavorful. They serve the fries with this garlic sauce that could become highly addictive. For dessert, we had the creme caramel and it was excellent. Service is candid and friendly. Just go there already!

After reading many good reviews about this restaurant i decided to try it for lunch. I went with my dad - and we both had the kafta wrap (it comes with garlic sauce, spices and pickles) which was excellent. My father, who is not the most adventurous when it comes to food was happy as well. The only thing that I would say that took away is the place itself. The place lacks an authentic feel but other than that I'm looking forward to going back to try other dishes.

UPDATE - I guess 3rd time was not charm here. Stopped in on Sunday evening, and business was good. We were told we would have next available table. Didn't turn out that way. Another party arrived after us that apparently were more regular client s or something, and they were given the first table. The staff apologized to us, never giving an explanation, and indicated again we would get next table. The food was good, but not good enough to accept that treatment. Probably be a long time, if ever, before returning here. My second time here. Portions & prices are fantastic. Food is very good. Had Kabobji Veggie Trio wrap, small Greek salad, falafel wrap & hummus at our table. Service fine. Ambiance is nothing great, but very comfortable. I'll be back plenty more times.

Another great little find! Wonderful Middle Eastern food, fantastic service, and great prices. I had a craving for Tabouli salad, did a search on Yelp for Middle Eastern and found this great little place. The nicest folks around! We tried the Turkish coffee here (first time ever), and WOW, how awesome....I'm hooked!

This place is good kind of small looks more like a takeout place then a restaurant. The food is actually really good I was very impressed. Started off with the hummus appetizer was kind of small not really for sharing. They have very good pita bread that tasted very fresh. I ordered the chicken kebob. It came served ontop of rice that was excellent. It was some type of lebanese rice that I haven't had served to me before in a restaurant. This place seemed to do a big takeout business, I actually wished they delivered I would be ordering from here alot more.

Awesome place, been here three times for lunch and tonight for dinner. Went there at around 9:30, place was full outside and inside. There is nothing fancy about this place, it is what it is! What is it, Its good!! We had the Hummus, rich, creamy, nutty, delisioso. The labane, again rich, creamy, tart, served with cucumbers, tomatoes with olive oil, and crispy pitas. The Fatush with chicken, a mix of diced crunchy veggies, peppers, tomatoes, with romaine lettuce, in a vinegar, olive oil dressing, and sumac. Refreshing, light, and the chicken nice and juicy! Falafel, crispy on the outside, green, herby, and full of flavor on the inside, the sauce with it, We did not care for. weird. Overall great food, blah ambiance, solid service, great value. Our check with a lemonade was $30. Our lunches have always been great too. A must go.

Kabobji has the best Lebanese food in South Florida. I only order a few of their dishes, but every time they are amazing. My top choices on the menu are chicken gallaba and beef shawarma with tahini sauce. The fattoush salad is amazing and the rice is out of this world. Be sure to ask for garlic dressing with any dish you order. They have fresh brick oven baked pita that is great to eat on its own or to stuff with rice and whatever dish you order. Staff is friendly and personable.

This food was very good, and coming in between 5-8 gets you half off a second entree. The service was also very good. A place I will go back to if I find myself in the area again!

I noticed the new local Kabobji menu in the KH mail room; I went by to check out the 'steak shish kabob pita wrap' and ended up ordering 2 other menu items as the food was that good! 3 wraps (dinner baby) and the total bill was $23.00! Fresh, large wraps loaded with meat (chicken, lamb steak) and the flavors.. an explosion of awesome. PS. Try the spicy garlic sauce and the yogurt sauce. I'll be eating here weekly!

First let me say this, the staff is excellent and very friendly and helpful. I asked for any recommendations and the way the waitress expressed and talked about what she was recommending made me want to order and I did.... Now, nothing against the food, it just wasn't my cup of tea and should have ordered what I know I like, but in any case, I wanted to try something new. Price-wise, its very good too. I highly recommend it, and for sure next time Im around there, I will stop and have a bite!

Thank you Yelp!! I'm so glad I found this little Lebanese restaurant. I have been there three times already and it has been good every time. Although the last time I was there about a week ago the waitress was a little pushy but I can take slightly pushy waitresses. For starters I had Mousaka, which is a cold eggplant appetizer. Yummy Yum! Its a decent portion to share with two or three people. Afterwards we had the lentil soup. I'm a sucker for lentil soup and it was really hearty and delicious. There's two size, the cup and the bowl size, go with the cup because you won't have any room in your tummy if you get the bowl size for yourself. The main course was Beef Sharwarma.SSooo good and so tender. They have some magic seasoning because I was in heaven when I was eating it. It comes with either fries or rice, PICK THE RICE! Its so fluffy and the almonds add such a great taste to it. It also comes with either a soup or salad. I didn't know this so I choose the salad. Don't know which salad it was but it was alright, I"m not a big salad fan, but my boyfriend really liked it. Lastly, we had dessert it was baklava. It wasn't dripping in honey which I find a lot of baklavas sometimes are prepared so I was pretty pleased. Also the service was very helpful the other times.

The place is really cute!! The server and the manager/owner were really friendly, coming around every few minutes to make sure we were happy with the service and if we needed ANYthing!!! The food was really good and the whole vibe was really laidback! I will definitely be back again!

  • Carlos A S.

This place is great. This is what I recommend. Go in a group of six hungry people and order the Kabobji Feast ($105.00). The Feast serves six and brings all the usual items in a Lebanese restaurant - hummus, baba ghanoosh, fattoush, falafel, two shish tawooks, two shish kabobs, four shish kaftas, boneless chicken, and three lamb chops. You can not go wrong here. Let me repeat to emphasize. You can not go wrong with this order. While you wait, smoke hookah and drink Lebanese beer. If that doesn't sound like a perfect Saturday afternoon (they don't open Sundays), something is wrong with you. Cheers!

If I had to describe this restaurant in one word it would be YUMMY! It's the BEST Lebanese food in Miami. The chicken shawarma and greek salad is delicious! and let's not forget the chicken tawook sandwich with the garlic sauce (to die for)! The owner is always there and he is so welcoming! & the waiters/waitresses are awesome! If you love your stomach as much as I do, you MUST try this place!!

I've been looking for an authentic and not overpriced place for middle eastern food, and I've found it in Kabobji. Everything I had was delicious! I started with the fatoosh salad and my friend had the lentil soup. I don't even like lentil soup, but there was something about this soup that was incredibly tasty. The meals are a decent size portion for the cost and bring your soup or salad and rice or fries. I had the chicken shawarma (which the waiter said was the best anywhere because they marinate it twice so it's extremely tasty) with rice, which was ridicously good. Very moist and fresh. Kabobji is a small hole-in-the-wall kind of place, very unassuming. The waiter was exceptionally nice and attentive. He even suggested i have the rice over the fries and good thing he did because the rice was delicious. I'm not usually a rice person, but I have to agree that it was amazing. I will definitely be back for seconds and I have a feeling this place will be one of my staples now. So excited I found it! If you like middle eastern food, I definitely recommend checking this place out, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Food was OK. Not exceptional. Chicken on the sampler platter was very dry. Atmosphere is kind of cafeteria style with a lot of tables crowded in a room with no partitions. Seems rated too high on Yelp for what it is.

I had no idea of what true Middle Eastern food was until I studied in Lebanon. I was instantly hooked. When I came home I spent years trying to find anything reminiscent of fresh tabbouleh and falafel. There were a couple of restaurants in South Florida that came close but it was not the same. It wasn't until I was in a dressing room at Loehmann's plaza where a woman who told me about this hidden gem of a restaurant called Kabobji. She told me the location was in a strip mall and immediately I had a preconceived notion. Something told me to give it a try and now I am a fan for life. The food hands down is the best Lebanese fare that I have had since I left Lebanon. Each dish is full of flavor and the meats and seafood are absolutely succulent. The portions are more than satisfying with enough to take home. The next day I had a left over shawarma chicken sandwich and this may sound odd but it tasted even better than the night before. They are also opening a Kabobji in North Bay Village in the middle of July. On the weekends they will have belly dancers and hookahs. I'm anticipating their opening and will keep you posted! By the way the original location is in a really nice strip mall.

I stopped by here with Ralph. The surrounding was interesting. There were antique things on the wall, some which I believe were the old pipe lighters? I also saw some hookah by us next to the desk. The music was similar to some Turkish music. It was a mix of slow and then some nice, happy sounding ones. Nothing to give you a head ache. I went for the lentil soup, which was good and squeezing some lemon in it tasted even better. I skipped the cucumber yogurt salad since it has some mint in it, plus I have already been eating some of my own at home. I try not to eat too much dairy since it makes me too full. Ralph and I then ate our salads, which was cut up in small sizes and what they added in it made them taste good. It must be the paprika and olive oil along with very little lemon juice. Guessing. Then, I get my lamb shish kebob with rice, however not seeing bundles of vegetables on the side.. I was expecting some good cooked red and green peppers and maybe also some cooked tomatoes and carrots. Ralph gets his shish kebob with beef. When you pick a meal or a meal combo, you either have soup or salad and then get fries or rice. This doesn't apply to pita wraps in here. He finished his and had to wait for me. That was kind of annoying because I don't like to be the only one eating. Everything tasted good, and waitress was nice.. but, someone else (I think he was the owner) had to get us some more water. I don't know where the lady went but we were so thirsty, no offense. I also just wish there was a little more veggies. Is it too much to ask? =X

Great Service and food was omg..OMG..omg delicious. We ordered the sauted Salmon with veggies and the Chicken Swarma platter. We had with it soup, salad and rice and grilled veggies. Lentil Soup was amazing. Salad was delicious with crunch on top. Pita bread on the side. Rice comes with almond slivers. Price was high, but they come in Super size portions, so you could do lunch with the leftovers. They refilled our water, no problem. Then to finish it off we had hot mint tea. My boyfriend is actually very hard to please and he was suprisingly happy with our experience. I am going back again very soon. Its located to a Bubble Tea shop right next door. I am a fan of that too. Try the Taro. Good stuff. Can't say enough how excited I am to have found this place and its so close to where i live in Sunny Isles.

This is a really good place to just hang out and have some amazing food. I loved the staff and also the ambiance. I must say, I had a very quick service. Very reasonable price as well. Do check it out if you are around with Yelp's Monocle. :)

I have been here several times and have yet to have a bad experience. Nice decor, simple ambiance, good service, and very good Lebanese food. I have tried, the lentil soup (a must try), kefta kabob, chicken shwarma, the fatoosh salad, and the salmon. (Not all in one sitting, but I am sure I can do it!) All are great, except for the salmon as I did not experience any Lebanese flavours on it. They have also created a new lunch menu with additional items so be sure to check it out. Also, try their Lebanese house wine as it compliments most of their meat dishes excellently. On the other end of the spectrum, try the Lebanese tea, very flavourful. Lastly, the owner of the restaurant does a great job of making sure his patrons are having a great experience. Small, family owned restaurants rock! Happy Eating :)

My husband and I love middle eastern food and this is our favorite place in Miami. We usually get the beef shwarma platter which is amazing. Pretty much everything on the menu is good. I really like the stuffed cabbage which is very unique. Since they have now expanded the place and made it double in size it's even more awesome and really nice renovations. The one downside is that the pita is some what lacking. But they have truly mastered the making of falafel..nice and crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Need I say more?

authentic food with large quantity at reasonable price. two of us ordered kabobji sampler, very tasteful, and didn't stand a chance to finish. highly recommended for 1st timer, as you will get a taste of everything at a total of $40.

Great choice for Mediterranean food in the North Miami area. There's a varied menu selection, so you can go for a wrap if you want something light, or a full meal with rice. The chicken and beef shawarma is great, as is the garlic sauce that comes with it. The baklava is great and is a must have dessert. The staff is also friendly and attentive. There's still a lot I haven't tried yet on the menu, so I'll be back for more.

This is a nice middle eastern restaurant. The waitress were very nice, and the owners were very friendly. We started with hummus and taboleh which were very good, and the hummus came with pita. I am a vegetarian, so I was looking for vegetarian kabobs, but they didn't have it. I asked about the grilled veggie wrap, but they told me the dish is kind of spicy, so I switched to falafel wrap, which was good but not my favorite. My bf had chicken kabobs that came with a salad and rice. I have to say the portion was very generous, and it looked very nice. He said it was good and I tried the rice, which was good. We finished with the desert, baklava. It was three small pieces and very yummy.

Absolutely phenomenal! We picked up a Restaurant.com gift certificate during one of their sales and thought we'd try a new place we'd never heard of before. I have probably driven by this place a hundred times and never saw it.. and probably wouldn't have stopped if I did given it's unassuming strip-mall location. Upon arrival it was almost empty (7pm on a Wednesday), but was completely packed by the time we left, including seating outside. The Veggie Mazza Appetizer is fantastic - a little bit of everything and was plenty for the 3 of us to share. We added a cucumber/yogurt salad and got a couple entrees to split (mousaka and kebab sampler). Literally EVERYTHING was perfect! The waiter (from Venezuela) was very accommodating, friendly, and patient while we debated several options. There was more than enough food for all 3 of us and we even ended taking some home. Our waiter offered to put fresh condiments in the box instead of boxing up our leftover sauces. All in all, this was one of the best Middle Eastern/Mediterranean meals I've had in ages. I would highly recommend this place. Try the mint and green tea - very refreshing!

Absolutely love this Middle Eastern Restaurant. This is the second time I've been here now. I can honestly say it's worth coming to if you like Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food. Great atmosphere. Family-owned...so they work hard at keeping it going well. They also have hookahs for those who like that stuff. I also took my Lebanese friend with me. He really enjoyed the different dishes. He did not care too much for the falafel as he said it was a bit too crispy...he likes it more moist...I like it crispy(all preference), but he was right. It was a bit on the super crunchy side. We came a bit towards closing time, but we called ahead to make sure it was okay to come. The staff remembered me from the last time, so that was nice. My kids and I made it a tradition to make Kabobji Faces whenever we come...we did it again this time. It's a fun thing for us to do and I'm pretty sure the staff must think we are a bit strange for turning their food into faces. It's our fun-activity, so we don't care!! All and all, we love this place for awesome food, casual ambiance, and truly flavorful food. Highly recommended for anyone looking for Middle Eastern food in Miami NYC

Awful experience. We were there 20 minutes and asked for service twice, but no one even took a drink order from us. The only thing we got was an explanation from the hostess stating that our waiter was "outback doing God knows what". Really? That is not enough. We came here because of the wonderful reviews, but never even got to taste the food even though we drove all the way from Kendall and waited 20 minutes while starving. What horrible service!

Hands down, the BEST Middle Eastern food that I've ever had in a restaurant! It's a bit far from where I live, but definitely worth the drive to North Miami Beach. The restaurant is spacious enough to host large groups, and very clean inside. The menu is vegetarian friendly. My table of 4 shared a mixed appetizer platter of hummus, baba grannouj, veggie grape leaves, and falafel. It was well seasoned, just PACKED full of taste. I could not get enough of the baba grannouj, it was my favorite item on the plate. I had to stop myself from eating all of it so I could share with my table! It is served with a basket of freshly baked pita bread, which is amazing when it's pulled right from the oven in the back. You can even watch how the bread is kneaded and baked. Our table kept asking for more as we ate our meals. I ordered the lamb Ghallaba, which is lamb chunks sautéed with mixed vegetables and Kabobji sauce. Main entrees come with a choice of salad or soup; I chose lentil soup. The lentil soup was tasty. It was on the thicker side, I ate all of it, but it wasn't too remarkable. I tried my friend's salad, which I'll get next time. Light dressing and plenty of fresh veggies. My entree also came with a fragrant white rice, topped with almond slices. Overall, our dining experience was fantastic! Our waiter was really nice and helpful when we asked a lot of questions about the menu. Definitely will be returning to Kabobji.

I came here because of all the buzz it was getting on yelp. Definitely worth a trip! It's a good spot for a date with mostly small tables indoors. There are a few tables outside too, but it's too hot this time of year even at night! It smells delicious as soon as you walk in with a great mix of spices in the air. I ordered the chicken shawarma which came with French fries or rice. I ordered the fries which were very tasty and didn't get soggy when I reheated them the next day. The dish came with a white yogurt type of sauce which I used for the fries and the chicken. With an entree you were offered a salad or soup. And what an interesting salad this was! It was so fresh with a mix of tomatoes and peppers, and croutons that were like very thin, crunchy, pita chips. I wish I had taken a picture of it so I'd know how to make it myself! You will be served a complimentary basket of pita to begin with, so we ordered hummus to go with it. You can't just have pita by itself! The hummus was tasty, fresh, and rich in flavor. Be aware that the portions are very large so it may be better to split an entree and get an appetizer or two. By ordering a whole entree for myself, I had plenty leftover for lunch the next day. The service here is excellent, the quantity and quality are great, and the prices are very reasonable.

When I rate a restaurant I always try to set a baseline to similar places in the category, taking in consideration the location (country, state, city), the target audience, the type of food (ethnicity), etc. So when my daughter recommended I try Kaboji because we all enjoy Mediterranean food I was a bit skeptical, since it is in Aventura, and at a strip mall (yep, I had a bit of geographic prejudice here). Additionally, my baseline for Mediterranean food is pretty high, since I have eaten at incredible Mediterranean restaurants in Jerusalem (in the Arab section) and Tel Aviv, and also at one of the best places outside the Middle East: Almanara in Brazil, which is amazing. The first impression was very good, a nice hostess and an incredible waiter, always smiling, attentive, knowledgeable about all the menu items and also very concerned about what we wanted or expected from the dishes we selected. He didn't know if we knew all the details (spices, ingredients) of Mediterranean dishes, so he took the "mentor" approach. Not needed in my case, but a very nice gesture for guests that are new to this type of food. As an appetizer we ordered the Kibbeh (like a fried meat ball, with Mediterranean spices). It comes with 3 units. Excellent combination of texture and taste. I ordered the Beef Shawarma (if you watched the first Avengers, they show an "easter egg" clip after the credits, and all the heroes go to a restaurant to eat the best Shawarma in town recommended by Ironman... so I had to try this one!). We also ordered the Boneless Chicken (marinated grilled chicken mixed with a blend of kabobji spices). Both came with rice, mine also came with a Fattoush salad, my daughter with a soup, both excellent. Although the spices and ingredients varied a bit compared to the Jerusalem place and Almanara in Brazil, thus the taste was a bit different too, the overall experience was way above average for Mediterranean restaurants I have tried in Florida. If you want to try this style of food I highly recommend Kabobji, it is very close to the original flavors of the Middle East. Cheers!

Excellent ambience, attractive decor (wood flamed oven), attentive wait staff and the food is fresh and delicious! I took my elderly mother here the other day and we ate like wherewolves. Started with Baba Ganoush and the pitas that they make in house. Lemony with chunks of eggplant--perfection. Lentil soup was brimming with flavor. Greek salad was crisp and ample but not overwhelming. I had the beef schwarma--first time since Amir's Fellafel on 113th st & Broadway--and it was devine. Couldn't finish it. They have a broad array of treats which we will sample next time. We are going to make this a "regular" place

Kabobji is not a good middle eastern cuisine restaurant. The food is not flavorful nor fresh, and quite frankly, shocking how old the bread used for the wraps truly is! I even heard the woman sitting to the table next to ours complain about how dry the chicken was in her shish-kebob, which is a similar complaint I have noticed in MANY Yelp reviews. I have traveled often and had tasted falafel all over the world, including the middle east. The falafel at Kabobji is cooked to an inch of its life, and is lukewarm. Middle eastern food is known for a distinctive and amazing flavor due to the use of diverse spices such as turmeric, cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg and paprika. Kabobji should invest in some of these spices and consider adding more flavor and love to their food. Very disappointed, and wish Miami could offer a more authentic middle eastern cuisine restaurant.

A great find!! I had dinner at Kabobji on a Saturday night. The restaurant was packed and on a wait list the entire time we were there. The food was delicious and very fresh, the portions were generous and the service was quick. I cannot wait to go back for the grape leaves, hummus, lentil soup and schwarma.

Not too impressed, I ordered the kabob combo platter and it was okay. The beef kabob was a little tough and the chicken kabob was a little dry. The serve the dish with raw onions which I don't understand, they should've charred them on the kabob skewers. As I was talking to the hostess to be seated she took a phone call while I was talking to her and I lost my table outside. The waitress I had was nice and attentive though. I would not come here again because the food was mediocre.

This is my favorite Lebanese restaurant. I make Baba Ganoush at home often, and I have tried it in other restaurants, but this is over the top, plus the home made Pitot and the Kibbe Naye are to-die-for. I give it 5 Stars without thinking about it, don t leave without trying the garlic sauce

With décor reminiscent of sitting on a veranda in the Greek Isles, I was quickly whisked away from the actual strip mall location. The menu was equally as delightful, offering a variety of Mediterranean dishes. I was extremely pleased with the attentiveness of the staff, once they realized that my friend and I were gluten-intolerant.

Got some take out here last night. Seems every Middle Eastern place has their own way of doing dishes, and this place might be a little different than what you are used to. I had the trio vegetarian wrap, it was a flat pita style bread wrapped with tabouleh, falafel and one other thing, can't remember. It was very good but I kind of wish it had come with some tahini or beany type sauce. I had a fatoush salad with it, very nice, and the rice was great, all these roasted nuts on top with lots of parsley. I also got the walnut baklava, thinking the three pieces would last me a couple days....not! gone before I went to sleep. I will definitely go back here. I still love the falafel at Maoz in South Beach better than any falafel ever, and I wish he would open in North Miami! But this spot is very good and everyone that works here is lovely.

Five star. The food is really amazing. Best mediterranean food ever. Habib, the owner, is always there taking good care of his business. The bread is always hot, since there is a baker which makes them all day long. The place is very simple but you go there for the food. Went there twice in a 10 day period, which says a lot. Ask for their combo to cold and hot dishes. The moroccoon beer is also great.

This place is fantastic! My boyfriend and I have dinner here once every month and the service is awesome. While having dinner one night, my boyfriend and I met the owner. The owner was really sociable and even took the time out to personally make our Hookah (he makes a wonderful hookah)! We always have the chicken Shawarma and it is nothing short of pure excellence. We'll definitely keep coming back. I've recommended this place to family and friends and they love it! 5 stars! :)

The food here is fantastic. I'd been looking for good shish tawook for some time and I found it! The food is delicious, the service is great! Of course i had shish tawook with their AMAZING garlic sauce. I liked it so much I took extra home. (In fact I ate so much of the garlic sauce I had to make sure my husband had some too so he would be immune to my super deadly garlic breath. He loved it. Muahahahaha!) He had the combo shwarma (beef and chicken) and really enjoyed it. We split the lentil soup and a salad and those were both fresh and delicious. We will be back, hopefully this weekend. Tip: the AC is really obnoxious. Sit in the center of the restaurant, the AC isn't so bad.

Wow! My new go-to Eastern/Greek restaurant...perfect for a weeknight that you do not want to cook. I love owners that are passionate about their food and their service. The owner suggested several wonderful dishes "that were off the beaten path" for us to try. His suggestions were spot on. We loved them both! It was nice to venture away from grape leave, hummus and the usual affair. The proportions were HUGE. We had two appetizers and one entree between the two of us. There was so much left of the entree we both had leftovers for lunch the next day. Fresh made pita bread!!! Delicious. I want to eat that everyday. Not sure about some of the negative reviews, but the service was perfect (and I am very picky).

Tried: Chicken schwarma wrap, Turkish coffee, Lentil Soup, Tea with mint Verdict: All so GOOD, GOOD, GOOD! Delicious, authentic Middle Eastern food here. I especially loved the jasmine rice that came with my wrap. Sliced almonds? Yes please. Plus: They brought us fresh, hot pita bread! YUM. Will be coming back again.

Best Mediterranean food around. Everything there is great and much more authentic than other place in Miami. The lentil soup is probably the best lentil soup I have ever had. They even offer special Moroccan beer. Everyone who works there is really nice and they provide great service. I tried the batata harra for the first time on my last trip there and it was great. Tasted like spicy breakfast potatoes. Of course my chicken shawarma was delicious also. My only real issue is the baklava. I absolutely love baklava and I just wish their version had a bit more honey. It seemed a bit dry for my taste. But overall, this place is great and I recommend it to everyone.

Here for dinner with my wife. Started with a small order of Hummus with a basket of just made rolls. 5.99. Very good. Then the Shish Kabob Platter (lamb cooked medium) with brown rice and Fattoush salad.19.99 Meat came medium well and was dry. Needed something to moisten it. Also the Chicken Shawar Platter with rice and Fattoush salad. 16.99. Good flavor but the chicken was dry. The highlight of this meal was the Hummus and rolls. Don't think we will be back.

YUCK!!!I had eaten here a few times before and heard the new owners put in a pita oven! So decided to go for a quick 58 minute lunch! 12:40 only 2 people working the floor paying more attention to takeout then people eating. No one sits me so I seat myself! 14 minutes later get menu! waiter takes 10 minutes to pour a cup of soup! Chicken soup was great. Chicken shawarma was dry and cold. Guy making the pita bread drops one on the floor and throws it back in oven! Check Please

4 stars for food, 2 stars for the service! That's how I came to the 3 star rating. I came with a party of 5 and we ordered about 7 or 8 mezzes. The fun about middle eastern food is eating all of the mezze at the same time, especially since we hadn't ordered entrees. The problem was that they brought out the dishes one by one and we had to wait way too long for the next dish. The restaurant was not crowded or busy, so that couldn't be a valid excuse. The waiter said he didn't have to write anything down but apparently he did because he kept forgetting what we ordered. :-/.. PROS: really good home cooked food with very reasonable prices. CONS: While the waiter and waitresses were sooo good-looking and super sweet, they were a bit aloof. All in all, i would visit again.

Went there last Saturday night for the first time and really enjoyed it. Every table was full and we had to wait about 25 minutes since we had no reservation. Once seated, we drank some ice cold Lebanese beers and ordered some apps. We were presented with fresh baked pita bread which was soft, warm, and delicious! Our fried kibbeh, hummus, and kibbeh nayyeh were the REAL DEAL!! For dinner I had the beef kabob with rice which had toasted nuts and pasta. Meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Coming from a Lebanese background, the food is authentic and to die for. I wish the temperature inside the restaurant had been a little cooler, and maybe an extra server or two are the only suggestions I'd make. Loved it, and will return for sure!!

For Lebanese in Miami, I think of Kabobji. It's as simple as that - and I've been to many Lebanese places around. The food is generally good. And they make the beef kafta well in this location. I typically go more often to the other location on 163rd but it was hard to find a difference in the quality of the food. The makanek, Lebanese sausage, was interesting - an acquired taste, but tasted good with pita bread. Not great, but good. Shish kabob lamb wrap was good. The beef kafta wrap was better, more flavorful. And dessert, I recommend the knafe - it's delicious and one of my favorite Lebanese desserts.

We came here on a Friday night with a previous reservation that came as a bit of surprise to our hosts in this run of the mill, sorry run of the mall Lebanese restaurant since it is located in a early 90s strip mall next to the highway with a great view of bumpers. OK, so if the food is good, all is good. Soon as we walked in we were ushered into a table that was quiet dirty. Granted they were super busy with regular crowd, sat staring around for a while before our waiter showed up. Dishes arrived fast, portions were big, not always a good thing and lacked authenticity. Tabbouleh was extremely salty, babaghannoush was home style and good. Kafta kabob and chicken shish was overcooked and dry. Did not enjoy eating here. But then again the restaurant is not even trying to appeal to non-regulars.

We were vacationing in Sunny Isles and this has to be the best beef shwarma I have ever tried. Something about the sauce and toppings make it delicious and crave-worthy. We also tried the babaganoush which tasted very fresh and delicious. The chicken shwarma was only OK. We went back again during our five day stay for lunch take out because we all wanted the beef shwarma. Definitely worth a visit!

Wow! What a find! Great food. Decent prices. Super helpful and friendly staff. The sampler which was billed for two or three could have easily fed four. Salad, an assortment of humus, falafel, grape leaves and then beef and chicken for the main. Excellent at $40. Friday and Saturday we were told they do lamb. Too bad I cant do it this week. But soon. Highly commended.

Beef Sha-wanna-make-me-eat-more-rma. Yes. I was so sad when I finished the my Beef Shawarma wrap. I furiously dug through the wrapper hoping I could find a lone chunk of beef, but sadly no :( We were inspired to come here with a coupon that we had for a BOGO lunch or dinner with max value of $9.00. Our server at first seemed rather distant in the beginning, he awkwardly put his finger in front of my face letting us know the lunch hours were not available on Sunday. But later he seemed much nicer and spoke to us, letting us know that he himself made the food! To be honest, I'm not much of an expert on this type of food, but my taste buds don't need to be an expert to know that what I tasted was good no matter what it was! The food was hot, the pita wrap was crispy enough and not burnt, and it had a great taste to it with the veggies inside. It was priced at 6.49 making it a decent lunch option, they had a lunch menu, but I don't know how big the portions were for those. All in all, it was something I would come back for if I was closer in town! Side note- Beware if you have coupons you go (and order) at the right times!!!! Our coupon was for "Lunch or Dinner item Max Value of $9.00," our pita wraps did not count as a "lunch" because it wasn't on the lunch menu (I think lunch hours were like M-Th 12-3 or something, we came on a Saturday), nor did it count as dinner because it wasn't an entree. Our server told us the manager could not use our coupon because of this. I personally think this is kind of ridiculous for the manager to save $9.00, I know plenty of yelpers and friends that would drop this place instantly for a move like that. However, I'm not going to de-rate the place for that because TECHNICALLY speaking, he is right. Albeit he is a cheapa** but lesson learned. Avengers shoutout! If you guys were wondering what Tony was talking about getting shawarma's, come here and find out! Ha! :)

We love this place! I'm yet to be disappointed by them and we eat here quite often, usually getting food to go. The chicken and beef shawarma dinners are my favorite and are huge, they come with a side, pita bread and soup or salad. Prices are fair for the portions and the quality. For 3 people, 3 complete dinners with desert usually cost us about $50-60 bucks. They do get busy so I would definitely make reservations if wanting to eat there, parking can also be a pain sometimes.

I just ate at Kabobji for the first time today. Many of my friends have been telling me how great the food is here. I stopped by for lunch and was very impressed by the food and service. Price was affordable too. I had the fattoush salad and chicken schwarma wrap. Both were delicious and light. The spices were zesty. I loved the garlic sauce. It was a departure from heavier food. My waiter was very nice, quick and attentive. I will be back again. My new obsession!

Shawarma is life, and having recently moved to Miami, I've been desperate to find an affordable place to get my fix. Kabobji does the trick. Even better, the restaurant retains the great sit-down atmosphere that many places jack up the prices for without actually jacking up the prices. While my impulse was to get in, get Sharmed, and get out, after spying the delicacies of our fellow patrons, my wife and I reconsidered our pull-out strategy and committed to the full shabang: appetizer, entree and dessert. In retrospect, we made the right decision. Appetizer: Meat Stuffed Grape Leafs: 5/5 There are five finger-sized morsels/appetizer plate, and while appetizers are only meant to whet one's appetite, I almost cried when I realized the last bit was finished. Main Course: Chicken Shawarma Pita Wrap: 5/5 A Shawarma wrap, when cooked to perfection, is moist, tangy and earth-crushingly meaty. The chefs at Kabobji don't mess around. The Shawarma wrap is about a foot long, and stuffed with the moist, juicy chicken that is the foundation of any good Shawarma wrap. Some purveyors of Shawarma confuse moist chicken with greasy chicken, but that was fortunately not the case in my experience. The tangy Shawarma sauce had zing and zest, and held my taste buds hostage for the duration of the meal. Overall, dollar per ounce, this is probably the best Shawarma in Miami. Dessert: Mouhallabieh: 3/5 Nammura: 4.5/5 Turkish coffee: 5/5 When a restaurant churns out two courses of delicious palatial domination, you really should give them an opportunity to strike you out with dessert. Plus, we were enjoying the Lebanese music videos too much to leave right after the entree. Like always, my wife and I ordered two desserts and split half and half. Mouhallabieh: 3/5 I went out on a limb and ordered the Mouhallabieh, which is a rice pudding dessert drizzled in honey with a rich, nutty flavor and a rose-petal aftertaste. While complex and extremely rich I was put off by the mealy, starchy texture and the overwhelming sweetness. Nammura: 4.5/5 My wife ordered the Nammura and was rewarded with two brownie-sized squares of confection perfection. With equal complexity of flavor with the Mouhallabieh, the Nammura initially tastes of honeyed cornbread, but quickly layers of flavor are added that put this a step ahead of other desserts. Subtle flavors of coconut register in the palate right around the time you are reaching for the next bite, wondering why the cornbread tastes so much like a Macaroon. My only complaint are the serving sizes. As your average American glutton, I like my dessert to be a meal unto itself. What are calories anyway, if not a measure of one's happiness? Turkish Coffee: 5/5 An absolute must as a companion for sweet Lebanese desserts, the Turkish coffee will add wonderful contrast to what would otherwise be an overwhelmingly sweet dessert experience. It took them a few minutes to bring out, but that was because they made it fresh for us. Overall: Kabobji has a new repeat customer. 5/5

~$10 for a lunch meal. Tasty but not a very big portion of food for the price. Also an iced tea is $3 which is ridiculous. As another reviewer said, ask for some hot sauce, it was amazing. Would come back.

Best middle eastern food I have found in south Florida. If you are from Michigan, it's pretty darn close to what you have up there. The hummus is amazing! Service was a little rushed, but our waiter was great and knew a lot about the menu. Friday night was pretty packed, but I made reservations earlier that day on opentable. I can not wait to go back here.

Nice restaurant. Newly renovated and expanded so lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The food is yummy. We had a salad that had bits of crispy fried pita in it. Very light and full of flavor. Not meat in the salad but it really didn't need any. I had the Beef Kafta and it tasted like a very well seasoned and dressed hamburger. The meat is grounded so not sliced like Shwarma. My sister and her fiance had the Vegetable trio wrap. It had falafel and some other stuff. Have to say that I preferred the trio over my meat option. We had extra garlic sauce on the side which was a great complement for the wraps. The ambiance is nice and almost romantic. Great for a date or just after work eats and a glass of wine.

This place was terrific. We tried the appetizer sampler and kabob combo, so we tried a lot of the menu in one sitting. I would have given Kabobji 5 stars if the falafel were not overcooked and the ground beef kabob more tasty. Really, though, everything else was wonderful. Will be back here next time I return to Miami.

I was not impressed with my veggie wrap at lunch. The sandwich was mostly bread and the falafel was somewhat dry. To top it off, the waiter gave me a hard time for asking for some yogurt sauce on the side - even if it was super delicious on its own, I don't want to be harangued for my taste preferences. Oh also - I'd stay away from the meat grape leaves... served warm, they tasted super fatty and fell apart when you took a bite. Bleh.

Awful service. A friend and I went here for lunch. The place was nearly empty, but they kept us waiting 15 minutes to order. The food was mediocre and the atmosphere was worse. Not going back.

Noticed this place last week so looked it up on yelp and since it had such good reviews, decided to try it and that was my lucky day. The chicken shawarma was delicious. Problem for me is that I hesitate to try something new but know now that won't be a problem here. Can't wait to venture down the menu. Will be back.

Small little place. AWESOME food. The waiter was hilarious, very friendly atmosphere. I had a shish-kabob-like dish with ground meat, chicken, and meat on skewers. DELISH. even the rice under it was great because it had that smokey meat flavor from the kabobs. Great from the salad they served us to the dessert. We had this foreign dessert that was made of cream cheese, shredded sweet carrots, very interesting, and of course baklava. Slightly pricey so ill give it 4 starts, but i will be coming here again

The food is decent, though not the best when it comes to Middle Eastern food. The prices are too high considering the location, ambience, and portion size. You can have a delicious $17 entree on Ocean Drive or Lincoln Road -- why go to a place that resembles a fast food joint in North Miami Beach?

I have to say the food is delicious and definitely tantalizes the taste buds. The ambiance is homey and quaint. Being Lebanese I can say that the food is authentic. The place is welcoming, the owner is hospitable, and portions are generous like Lebanese people! You can't go wrong with Kabobji!

delicious, authentic, cheap. heaven. the tabbouleh is the real deal, mostly parsley w/only a little bulgur, not the all-bulgur crap you get most places. the hot sauce! holy sh't! delicious taste AND fire. felafel is the best i've had in miami--they dent the middle so you get lots of crust. hummus is great, baklava great. love the adorable waitress. i didn't like the lebanese wine that much.

The food was amazing and there was a lot of it. I would not recommend sitting inside as the noise level is very high due to the concrete floors and having a packed house all the time.

Lucked out last night and spotted this place on the way home from a long beach day. There's nothing worse than ending a perfect day with a bad meal so I was completely thrilled when we saw the perfect combination of mediterranean food and a full restaurant. Not only was the restaurant full but everyone looked like they were having a great time and really enjoying their food. So my guy ordered a chicken dish and I ordered a pita wrap, which was delicious! In my wrap- tabouli, hummus, and falafels, oh my!! absolutely heavenly, really one of the best wraps I've had it a while. When I saw the $6 price tag attached I though it might be a baby wrap but it was a really good size. I wouldn't recommend ordering 2 unless you're starving and order nothing else! I ordered fries and they were good, nothing outrageous. The only little thing that went awry was the lentil soup that never showed up. But, we got it to go and I ate it today. Delighted to say I really enjoyed it. I will definitely be back here again and highly recommend this place to everyone!

The food was amazing. It was the best meal on my trip to Florida. The lamb was so tender and full of flavor. The rice was also delicious. The food was served fast and the waiters were nice. It seemed more like a place where locals go and eat. The price for lunch is very fair for the food.

I think having silverware is universal and must for most restaurants... U shouldn't have to ask!! But we did. And I don't appreciate being ignored after food comes because ur not happy with what we ordered! Food was mediocre, have had much better in Chicago, but gave extra star for pita bread as that was good!

LOVE this place! The food is authentic, fresh and tasty. My favorite ap is the Tomato Kibbeh. Such interesting flavors. I don't eat meat but the vegetarian selections are plenty (as with most mediterranean fare). You will leave full...

Absolutely delicious, fantastic service. It may be in a strip mall, but its one of the best restaurants in Miami. My sister and I now live in Brooklyn and are exposed to lots of foodie treats that make other places dishes pale in comparison - but this spot is one of a kind. My sister is begging me to bring her back food on the plane. Tried the chicken and beef swarma plate, tomato kibbet, and sampled the Thursday special with mellow leaves. It might have just been the luck of which items we ordered, but it seems to me that this place is better (and has less pretentious service) than for example, the Mandolin - which is greek and rated as top restaurant on Yelp for Miami (Kabobji is middle eastern and has similar food).

A LEBANESE GEM! So my Italian-American friend finally agreed NOT to have pizza! I wanted to cry! :-D And when he said he knew of this nice Mediterranean, Lebanese place, my hands started shaking like Miss Universe's. First impression: clean, cute, cozy, family friendly. In a strip mall with several other restaurants and businesses and very close to an Outback Steakhouse, with tons of parking. Best lentil soup I've ever had! Even if you're not a fan of lentils, you'll like it. They blend the lentils, so it's like a creamy soup. It is quite possibly my favorite soup, and comes with their home-baked pita bread that is absolute perfection. Great hummus! Not bitter, as I've had in other places. Their recipe is superb and well balanced. I've been to Kabobji several times. The Lamb Chops entrée is huge and delicious, and I also liked their Kabobji Veggie Trio very much, but I LOVE their Lamb Kafta pita wrap! Lightly toasted outside, it just melts in your mouth, and it's a very decent portion. I think with almost all items you get a choice of a side. Go with the Basmati Rice with shaved almonds on top! If you can't fit it in your belly, take it to go! Makes for great breakfast with scrambled eggs, as one of the waiters once suggested. And speaking of waiters, yes, service is friendly. I find that, for the location, it's always pretty well attended. Anytime I've been, there's at least 3 or 4 tables besides mine -- during the week. They have hookahs too, if you fancy some -- so you don't have to go to a touristy area for that. Yay! You're welcome! ^_^ Seriously, the rating is not hype. Food is great and very affordable. Go!

I was really looking forward to trying Kabobji after reading some of the great reviews it has on Yelp, but was surprised and disappointed by my experience. The food is overpriced and, compared to other middle eastern food I've had, just not that good. The pitas aren't thick, soft, and fluffy but instead are thin and crispy (this isn't necessarily a bad thing, just not my personal preference). The chicken in the pita sandwich was rather dry, and the falafel bites were not memorable.

Always fresh and tasty. Definite bang for the buck. Missing a star because we wish they would do more with the atmosphere but then again, we've never been here at night. Chicken and beef shawarma wraps are incredible and explode with flavor! I also had a Greek salad today that was absolutely perfect:) Service is always great, too.

Expensive for nothing. I am a tourist and I do not recommend this place to anyone. There was a "family plate " for $120 and it looked like a $30 plate. The fattoush was mostly bread and had no flavor. Also the tip was included, which I don't appreciate because we saw our waiter about 3 times, and he automatically got a $25 tip, that he did not deserve. Very disappointing .

I have never sat down to eat at Kabobji but I have taken the food to go multiple times. It's really good their mixed platter with the chicken & beef shawarma is delish. I have also had their Greek salad topped with the chicken shawarma. Personally sometimes the meat can be too seasoned but I still enjoy it.

I used to love this place but the service is not good anymore. It used to always take a long time for orders to come out but I could deal with that because the quality of the food was pretty decent and I also like smoking the hookah. however this past trip to this restaurant would be the last one....I called them in advance to ask if they had a hookah and I told them that I would be coming at about 1030 and I was trying to be considerate of the fact that they close at 11. I drove about 30 minutes to get to the restaurant and when I arrived there they told me that they stop serving hookah at 10. Naturally I was very disappointed because I called in advance and I specifically asked for hookah. I asked for the manager and they lied and said the manager would not be there for two weeks.

Honestly, for someone who's travelled the MIddle East and eaten great Lebanese food, this would rate a one star in comparison. Best part was the Lebanese beer and the spicy sausage appetizer. Lentil soup was ok. Vegetable grapeleaves were bad, the babakanoush lacked any eggplant flavor and the mixed grill combo was mediocre. Decor is non-existant. Service was fine. Gave them two stars in a gesture of mercy.

Found Kabobji on Yelp and made a reservation for tonight at 8:30pm for 5 people and they were very accommodating, being that I made the reservation at around 7:15pm. However, when I get there (basically a full house) they try to put us at a table made for 4 with an additional seat. I declined and asked of they could move two tables together (which they had to spare). The hostess went to ask her manager and his reply was "tell them we can't do that". Normally I would have walked out. But I was with my family and we drove 30 min to get there. This manager, whoever he was, gave off a "we don't need your business" vibe. As if to say "we can't do that so it's ok if you leave because ill fill those tables regardless". Once I let the hostess know I made a reservation, the tables were moved for us. And FYI 15 minutes later, they would have needed the business. The saving grace was that the food was unbelievable. From the appetizers to the entrees. The feta cheese plate is great and the garlic sauce served with the shawarma is amazing. Our waiter was very attentive, we never had an empty glass. I can't imagine how many people that particular manager turns away, but luckily for him, this wasn't a "first time, last time" for us. But will try to avoid Saturday nights. Would have been 4 Star worthy!

Super delicious food and very accommodating service. I had never eaten Lebanese food before and this was a fantastic introduction to it. Pita was fresh out of the oven and super tasty. Hummus and falafel were fantastic. I ordered the beef Gallaga with rice (seriously do not waste your time on fries - the rice is wonderful!) - the dish was seasoned beautifully and had way more than I could eat. Definitely get the baklava, even if you need to take it to go!

Truly comfort food. The kibbe and falafel are served hot and crispy, the sandwiches are delicious, the kids menu is outstanding, the hummus should be award winning, the pita is just perfect, and the value just right. You can't go wrong with this place.

Very disappointing. We went for dinner last night (family of four) for a 7:30 reservation on New Years Eve. We were rushed out of the place so they could close by 8:30. No warning that the restaurant was closing early. There was nothing redeeming about the meal. They rushed the apps and entrees so everything was brought out essentially at the same time. The Lamb Chops were poorly cooked at first (raw at the bone) and then burnt by the cook after we sent back the $26 dish. And after they cleared the apps and dinner plates they handed us the bill without even offering coffee or desert. Very bad experience. Never going back.

This place is amazing! From the very first dish to the last, everything tasted great! The lentil soup I had was great! My girlfriend had hummus, falafel, and some green mixed salad that I forgot the name of, but all three tasted great! I had the beef and chicken shawarma which was also very good! The portions were big, the atmosphere was nice, and the staff was very friendly! I've been telling everyone I know to go try this place out!

I drive for almost 30 minutes to get shawarma at this excellent restaurant, and I keep coming back. There are slightly more expensive items (like kabob platters for around $14-20) on the menu, and there are cheap items (chicken shawarma wrap for $6). I've had both. The platters are filled with food (two people could easily share one) and often come with a soup or salad option. The salad that comes with the meal is a huge, delicious Lebanese(?) blend called Fattoush that I could eat as its own meal. However, the cheap shawarma wraps are also very filling, and the sauce is absolutely to die for. After trying a few different platters, my standard order is now the meat grape leaves appetizer (they're similar to Greek dolmades but are served warm here) with the chicken shawarma wrap. It's cheap, and I leave stuffed and happy. For dessert, try the Turkish coffee and the Creme Caramel. Warning: don't get the coffee if you're hoping to go to sleep in the next few hours.

When dining in ethnic restaurants, I always feel that it's a good sign when people of that ethnicity eat there. In the three times I have been to Kabobji, I have always heard Arabic spoken by the patrons. This is a good sign. I absolutely love the food here. (I like Middle Eastern food a lot in general). Everything I have tasted was good. First off, they have these sick (in a good way) pitas, hot, fresh and made in house. Their freshly made hummus is not something you will find in the refrigerated section of Publix. The salad is excellent, served with home made pita chips and a zesty, home made dressing. Their chicken kabobs are delicious. I love the garlic sauce served with it. They have a nice rice with toasted slivered almonds. Yes, I gobble that up too. I took my brother there a month ago. He had the lamb for lunch and said it was very good. The fries looked like they were fresh not frozen. Today I had excellent service. I had great service on my last visit as well. They serve beer and wine only. The ambiance is OK, but one should not have high expectations for a restaurant in a strip mall. (Just saying). Check this place out as soon as you can, if you like this sort of thing. Enjoy!

My wife and I decided to try this place out on 2/8/13 for dinner since we like middle eastern food. We asked to be sat outside and we sat for over 10 minutes and no one even bothered to take our drink order or even come to our table. The waiter was inside and kept looking at us and at his watch. The place doesn't close until 11 we got there at 9:30. After 10 mins we decided to get up and leave. After we left the waiter finally came and took the menus. This was the first and last time we will ever go there. Will not recommend anyone to go to this terrible non customer friendly place. I was looking forward to eating here. If I could give it a negative rating on customer service I would since we never got to taste the food. Delicious, we've lived in Miami just a little over a year and finally tried this place. We had the beef and chicken shawarma both were so good and flavorful. The real deal! Lebanese food as good as a great homemade family meal! Love the variety creams platter and the kibbe is hard to beat! The mixed shawarma is really good and the pita bread the best we've had in Miami. Always coming fresh out of the oven! Various kind of baklava to end a yummy perfect meal and you are ready to go! Great quality and prices. The service could use a little help but overall a great place to go and even order delivery from.

OMG the Pita!!! They have hot out the oven pita which is just amazing. Went with my family on Sunday. Warm restaurant. Lots of families having dinner. All age environment. We tried a range of food. LOVED the cheese pie. I had a lamb dish which was delicious. My sister had filet mignon which was cooked to perfection with these delicious little potatoes. Waiter was very friendly. Service was excellent. We made reservations through open table which was fast and easy. Hummus was delicious as well.

I liked this place. The labne was nice and the pita bread at the beginning of the meal was soft and warm and tasty. I ended up getting their middle eastern sausage pita (the name escapes me) which included a nice slightly spicy sausage with pickles and a nice garlic sauce. The wrap itself was a bit on the crispy/crunchy side. Almost like a grilled burrito. It was different, but not bad. It came with a side of rice that was fine, but not anything particularly memorable. Prices are perhaps a bit on the high side here, but not excessively so. We would come back...

(To the tune of The Beach Boys "Barbara Ann") Bob-Bob-Bob, Ka-Bob-Bob-Ji Bob-Bob-Bob, Ka-Bob-Bob-Ji This song pops in my head and I know I'm in trouble because I know there is only one thing I can do. I know that I have to make a trip to Kabobji to satisfy my craving. To start you off a server will greet you with complimentary mini pitas that are hot and fresh right out of the oven that is built into the back wall of the restaurant. The pitas are an insanely good snack as you browse through the menu and choose your next taste adventure. Everything I have eaten there has been fantastic but I am obsessed with a couple of the dishes. The Shish Tawouk Pita has juicy grilled chicken with an intensely garlicky sauce and the zing of Persian pickles. It is served with either rice of french fries. I have always thought that french fries are on odd choice for a middle eastern restaurant and while the fries are good I usually opt for the rice. Rice is generally a boring side dish but Kabobji manages to get extra flavor out of it with chopped almonds and the seasoning they use. Another unbeatable dish is the M'jadra which can be ordered as a main dish or as half size appetizer. It is an unbelievable mix of lentils and fried onions which again does not sound that exciting. I do not know what they do in their kitchen but I have never had lentils with this much flavor, they are All of this is served without too much fuss by friendly people in an unpretentious restaurant with moderate prices. Just writing this review I am wondering when I will be back again. Bob-Bob-Bob, Ka-Bob-Bob-Ji

So Lebanese food is not the most refined food there is, but the dishes portray a wide array of flavors that make the tastebuds go crazy. I visited Kabobji after craving Lebanese for over 6 months, and once I looked at the menu I was in trouble. I wanted to try half the menu, but that was kind of not happening so I ended up ordering a hummus and a Chicken dish. The hummus was perfect, especially when paired with the delicious bread. As for the main dish it wasn't the most spectacular chicken dish I've had, but it was perfectly seasoned and paired with buttery rice. In addition the service was good, only downside is water refills but other than that perfect. The restaurant decor also fits very well with the theme, and provides a cozy atmosphere for a perfect meal. Overall, if you want Lebanese food (I am yet to try other dishes to better assess the restaurant) this is a good place to checkout.

Two words....absolutely delicious!!!! The best Shawarma I've eaten in my life!!! After a quick search decided to pass by to try out some good ol' Lebanese cuisine, and those ratings did not lie!! Wow I mean wow!! To start, the restaurant is huge, the staff was attentive and nice, the prices are good and the food is amazing. We ordered Falafel as an appetizer, they where good, they also bring complimentary Pitta bread that is incredible, fluffy thick and addictive. Afterwards we had Chicken and Beef Shawarma platters, they are accompanied by 2 sides and we had rice, salad and soup all together ...The Chicken and Beef Shawarma are juicy and savory simply to die for!!! The rice and noodles is really really good garnished with toasted almonds YUMMY!! I think about and I want to go eat there right now! Too bad I live so far because if not..they would see my face there every week!

Incredible food!!! Chicken Shawarma? - Mouthwatering! (A bit steep at $9, but well-worth the slightly high price.) Well-marinated chicken? - Yep! Crisp pickles? - Check! Warm pita? - Delicious! Garlic sauce? - To die for! I'm going back there tomorrow... Yum!

Only giving 2 stars because the food is pretty ok. The service is horrible!!! We were sat and waited at least 25 minutes before coming to give us water or any other service!!! The whole time we were made to wait and no one ever apologized for the treatment! Will not be back

The pita bread they serve is amazing! The quality of their food tastes so Mediterranean and so authentic! I had one of their dinner meals with lamb and was very impressed. Lamb was not fatty and it was cooked right. Also there lentil soup is one of my favorites! I went on a Sunday night and it was very busy. The ambience is very appealing and great for large groups. Great customer service!!

I came here with my family around 6:30 on a Friday night. We were able to get seated immediately. The ambiance is nice and they have an oven going in the dining room where you can watch them make the bread. The service was top notch. Our server had a great personality, extremely nice and was on top of everything throughout our entire dinner. I had asked him about the soup of the day, which was a Moroccan soup. He explained the ingredients which included cinnamon. I find a lot of Moroccan dishes are too sweet, so he offered to bring out a sample. The soup was awesome with no hint of sweetness. My wife ordered the Friday night lamb dinner which is served over a unique bed of rice. She ordered a cup of the Moroccan soup. I ordered the beef shawarma with the fattoush salad. For kids they only have chicken fingers. My wife asked our server and he said they could do any of the lunch plates for kids as well. My wife and I split the soup and salad. The salad was so fresh tasting. It has bell peppers, cucumbers, lettuce mixed with a vinagrette that must have had lemon juice as well. It is then topped off with various spices and some baked "croutons". My wife's lamb was so tender and the flavors were phenomenal. The shawarma was excellent, but I've had better elsewhere. Next time I want to try the kafta. The prices are average for Miami. I highly recommend this place to anyone especially given the stellar service which is so rare in Miami.

Wonderful restaurant. Kinda, friendly, attentive staff. Easy parking. Fantastic food. Would have given 5 starts, but the prices are a little steep- though the quality is very good. The restaurant itself is clean, well lit, and comfortable. It's free of loud booming music (like the rest of Miami) and the decor is simple, nothing too special. A wonderful place for a family dinner. Everything tastes fresh and well seasoned (not over seasoned, and not american-bland). I've been once with my boyfriend, he had the makanik wrap, which was delicious. I had the beef shawarma, also nice. Both dishes came with fatoush salad, well dressed with fresh crips, vegetables-could have done without the pita chips on top though. Came back with a friend and ordered the veggie mezza- hummus, grape leaves, falafel, all wonderful. She also had the grilled chicken with french fries-not particularly Lebanese or even really middle eastern, but delicious all the same. It's convenient the menu has some items for blander pallets, so you can take any of your friends. Be sure to try the garlic sauce, it's incredible. The tahini is good, acceptable, but nothing to write home about. The hot sauce is also great, very hot! The best though: the house made fresh pita!

The best pita and hummus I've ever had. Fresh and hot out of the oven. Great ambiance and service. High quality food at an affordable price. I had the spicy fish it was excellent and so was the salad. My husband had the beef shawarma- excellent!!

Kabobji has a machine that makes fresh Pita. It looked pretty cool. This one dude was just sitting there manning it. I bet he gets bored sometimes. But I'm glad to see that they make their own Pita instead of getting it from a bag. I would be disappointed if a 4.5+ rated place in Yelp used bagged Pitas. So Pita maker man, you're the real MVP. Kabobji looks like a cool place. I tried their hummus, lentil soup, and their Shawarma plate. Their hummus was good. It seemed nice, fresh, and creamy. I loved dipping the fresh pita and eating it. Their lentil soup was thick and nice. But it was just your standard, good lentil soup. Their Shawarma Plate tasted okay. They seemed to have used a lot of lemon to flavor the chicken. I'm not a big fan of lemony foods. That's just me though. I'm sure a lot of people will love the flavor. It just wasn't for me. The Shawarma Plate comes with a big pile of rice, garlic aioli, and the fresh pita. I think if the chicken didn't have the strong lemony taste, I would've like it better. But like I said, it's just me. I'm sure to most people, it tastes fine. Other than that, I still think it's a great restaurant. They have other options like Shawarma wraps.

Please switch back to the old French fries which were skinny and crispy. The new ones get soggy if you get take out. The old ones were 100% better. The entrees just don't taste as good with the new fries.

This has probably been the best middle eastern food I have visited to date. Everything was simply amazing. Hummus, Pitas, shawarma chicken, lamb, salad. No wonder this place has such a high rating.

Great food decent service. To be fair I'm a vegetarian so I have not eaten the poultry or meat selection. I've been to this restaurant many times and its always a good experience.

Service was great , I wish I knew the servers name . He was definitely a highlight in the experience . We had the chicken and the need schrahma which were delicious . I liked the beef one more . Lots of flavor . We started with the veggie mezze platter which was a lot of food. Babaganoush is delish . Defiantly like this place for authentic middle eastern food

Love this place. We try to get here once a week. My current favorite is the lamb kafta. A lamb sausage on a skewer. The fattoush salad is always fresh and their pita is fresh baked. With a hummous appetizer I'm a happy guy. My companion had the cabbage rolls, a thin layer of cabbage wrapping beef and rice and of course their amazing Lebanese flavoring. Almost everything I've tried here is delicious.

I really wanted to love this place and I came with an extremely open palate and mind. We arrived with a large party and were almost seated smack dab in between two large parties with a whole bunch of kids when the restaurant wasn't full or busy. We asked to be seated further away and they were fine with that. But we sat there for around 10 minutes without anyone coming over to say hello or get our drink orders. They didn't have the first beer I wanted so I went with something different. Once our full party arrived, we ordered the falafel and baba ganoush. The falafel was slightly burnt and the baba ganoush was really sour/tart (I'm sure that's the way it's supposed to be, so then I'd say it just wasn't for me). I ordered the lamb kabob wrap with rice and the wrap they used was extremely stale and bland, I just pulled the meat out of it. But then I found that the lettuce was so watery that I just ate the lamb. Which I then found out how dry and chewy the meat was because it was over cooked. The highlight of this place was the pita bread! It was freshly cooked, soft, fluffy and so delicious. I wish they put the lamb in that pita bread instead of that bland wrap. I wish I ordered the chicken shawarma after trying my husbands dish. I also had hummus that came with my wrap and it was fantastic. I'd ssuggest ordering the hummus if you don't like baba ganoush/sour dishes. Initially, I was between getting the french fries or the rice and I am so happy that I ordered the rice. It's amazing. The reason for 3-stars is that there are some outstanding things here, I just can't believe how bland my lamb wrap was, and how poorly the lamb was cooked. Everyone else loved their dishes, so I wonder if getting the wrap is a bad idea.

Very good Shawarma! Not too friendly they seemed they can be easily be overwhelmed. The music is a bit loud stereotypical middle eastern. Atmosphere is good.

I have been going to this restaurant for about three years, and none of the times I have been, have they been disappointing. I looove their chicken shawarma, exquisite garlic dip and friendly staff. The manager is always walking around engaging in appropriate conversation and making sure the food is to your standards. OH, and you HAVE to have Pistachio Baklava for dessert... I eat it with mint tea; they go harmoniously together.

I was very excited to go to this place and it sucks that for my first time here it wasn't that great. The food was very good. I had the chicken shawarma with a side of rice. The rice was delicious and the shawarma was mouthwatering. The price was good since I had it as a lunch special. It was crispy and so soft on the inside. Here is where it wasn't good : The service There was a lunch rush so I didn't care, but even with a rush I don't want to wait outside for 20 minutes! I didn't even have a waiter, the hostess had to serve me because she noticed that I didn't even have a drink. There was a guest that came in after I was seated (like maybe 6-8 minutes after) and they were served and got their food before me. Although the shawarma was good, I don't think I'll be back for a long time due to the service.

Kabobji is a great middle eastern cuisine restaurant (Lebanese owners). The food is excellent., flavorful, fresh. The bakery inside bakes amazing mini-pita breads that are served hot. The service is great (fast, friendly, attentive). The place is always busy and people come in all the time - which is always a good sign. We discovered it Sunday afternoon. We were not familiar with it at all, but decided to try it out. We all were so happy that we did! Everything we had (from appetizers to chicken kabob, to falafel wrap, to salad, etc etc) tasted very good. ...the next day, we called each other with the same idea - let's go back to Kabobji again for dinner. So we did! and had the same great experience as the day before. I highly recommend this restaurant. As for us - it is definitely our family's favorite from now on.

Maybe the easiest 5 stars I have awarded! It was my first experience with Middle Eastern food and I am definitely won over! Tasty and great variety of flavor. We tried various dishes and they were all so good I couldn't decide what I liked better! Absolutely loved this restaurant!

I'm a vegetarian, I've eaten a lot of falafel in my day. This is in my top 3. I get the veggie trio wrap every time (falafel, tabouli, hummus, herbs), it's so tasty! But, there's more. The pitas. The pitas are made fresh right in front of your eyes and they are free when you sit down. The labne with herbs appetizer is made in house and awesome. Best way to use your pitas! Go here now. You will not be disappointed.

I love this place. I live a good 40 mins away and the drive is worth it. My friend and I have visited with her 11 month daughter many times and the staff goes out of their way to make sure the little one is taken care of. The food is amazing, so incredibly fresh. I usually get their Chicken shawarma with rice, salad and a side of hummus. This place is a must go!

Simply delicious! I definitely recommend this place. They give such large portions of food that I left sooo full. The food is also very flavorful. I had the beef shawarma, lentil soup, and walnut baklava for dessert. The beef came with a delicious side of rice and veggies. My favorite part of this restaurant was the service. The waiter was actually the manager of the restaurant. He was hilarious and friendly and really made my friends and I have an enjoyable experience. The hospitality here was excellent. You should check it out!

One of those places in a strip mall that I'd never notice without Yelp. The pita is out of control! I came here for lunch with coworkers and brought my mom back for dinner. Hummus, grape leaves, chicken shawarma, falafel and rice pudding are as good as it gets. The carrot soup (yes carrot) was creamy and layered with flavor. I'll eat here once a week until I leave Florida. Nothing fancy, just really, really good food. Open late. Next time - trying the hookah! Phil is a server you remember - attentive and knows what you want before you do.

This place is a favorite for me and the family. As soon as you walk through the door, you'll quickly forget you are in Miami. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and the food is amazingly authentic. The entire menu is good but the 24hr slow cooked Lamb Special is a great dish!

The manager here is soo tentative and The food here is delicious!!! My husband almost shed a tear when he took a bite of his lamb chops... Cuz they were that good. Chicken shawarma was cooked perfectly and well seasoned and the fries are nice and crispy (just the way I like em) but beware!!! The portion sizes are very generous :-). If I lived in this area I would definitely be a regular.

Delicious. Really friendly service. Food is solid!. Great hummus and babaganoush. Pita is fresh. Falafel is amazing. Best i have had.Big portions! I had the chicken shawarma and everything was tasty, flavorful and delicious. It was too much food but worth it. My party also liked everything they had. I wish i would have had room for dessert because i am sure the baklava would have been nice. My only complain would be that their floors are sticky. The really need to do a better job and get those floors clean.

I went there Dec.22 and ordered simple dishes at lunch time. I had a small dish of babaganoush (eggplant). It was sour or rather acid, which means it was not fresh, the tahini had turned so it was good for the garbage. The fatoush salad had no taste and the fried kibbie was terrible as well. The only thing that was fresh was the pita bread, that is baked there. I would not recommend this place. It used to be good. Not anymore.

Visiting Miami Beach from Canada. I found this place on yelp and decided to try it. I found it is much better than I expected. We ordered chicken shawarma, beef shawarma and chicken kebab. Food was delicious! The Beef Shawarma was full of fantastic flavor, even the plain rice with onions was delicious. We ordered take-out and it was prepared fast. The prices seem high at first but the portions are huge, we had two entire meals leftover. Can not wait to go again!

Yelp does it again. I had been craving Mediterranean food all day yesterday and up comes Kabobji. So many great reviews, I had to go. Everything was truly amazing. Great service. Friendly staff. We were seated immediately and began looking over their delicious menu. The pita was amazing. It was fun being able to watch it come out of the over and thrown, literally thrown, into the baskets. I had the vegetarian appetizer. At first I was worried because it's $17.99. Is an appetizer that costs so much going to be worth it? The answer- absolutely. The grape leaves were enormous. So tasty. The falafel was my favorite, well, so was the hummus. Agh, it was all so delicious. I couldn't finish it all, but believe me, I wanted to. They have takeout as well so if you're in the area, you can always get it to go. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks Yelp for helping me find another amazing restaurant in Miami.

Very tasty food. Never had Lebanese food before and it was very good. The service was superb, as soon as the server knew this was our first visit to restaurant and type of food, he broke down the menu, spices, and made recommendations. If I could, I'd give 4.5. There was some food that I wished had a gravy, but that could have just been because of the way the dish was supposed to be made. Dont get me wrong, the food was tasty and moist but I would have tweaked it a little differently. Great great great, very pleased

After they closed the location in North Bay Village, I was wondering where exactly I could get my Falafel fix. When I realized they just moved, I was so relieved. Ordered a huge amount of takeout the other night and peacefully pulled out all my well-wrapped bags securing a smorgasbord of delicious treats. The falafel was very rich and crunchy. The Baba Ghanoush was perfect. I wish the pita bread was toasted but it's no big deal, the food made up for it. Next, I ordered Tabbouleh with lots of Lemon Juice and even added Meat to it. The Meat was very well seasoned and was cooked perfectly. I want to try the Muhhamara since I haven't eaten that in years but I bet they make a delicious rendition of this here. It's $8.00 for delivery but only because it's a Third Party. The service is great and the hostess made me feel right at home while I waited. I can't wait to eat here again. I can smell the seasoning from here and this time I want to check out more of their exotic appetizers.

We pulled up to Kabobji hoping for excellent food and service and were not disappointed on either front. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated and we met our server. Phil was friendly and seemed genuinely excited we were there, especially after we told him it was our first time in the restaurant. His face lit up like a Christmas tree as he boisterously told us about some of the menu's greatest hits. We started with warm pita and Phil brought us zatar, a dipping sauce for the pita that was a combination of olive oil, oregano, cumin, and sesame seeds. The dip was delicious, but my mouth was full of the real reason I would ever consider going back to Kabobji, which was the pita. Oh, the pita. It was a doughy pillow carefully overseen by the vigilant watch of the man I will call "pita guy". Pita guy's sole responsibility, I realized, was to keep careful watch over the pitas, lovingly taking them from the racks- where they rose to their exceptional hollow heights- to the ovens and then to the baskets waiting to be graced by their pita-y perfection. I have respect for pita guy and the care with which he addressed the pitas under his watchful eye. It was as if every pita mattered, a mantra usually reserved for after school specials. I didn't think the pita could be any better than it already was, and then the mezza was brought to us. Once dressed in baba ghanoush, hummus, and tabouleh, the pita was elevated once more. I went from adoring its very existence and the process of its creation to adoring its functionality; it was the vehicle to move all these delicious flavors and combination of flavors from the plate to my mouth. The tabouleh nestled in the smoky baba ghanoush and resting in the crook of the pita was the best bite of the evening. The lamb chops, beautifully butchered French style so the long bones are exposed, were tender and had a nice char as though they'd just come off the grill to rest on the bed of rice awaiting them on my plate. They were moist also, and the lamb juice erupted on my palate as I bit into them. My only disappointment at Kabobji was that the portions were so large- had they not been I could have ordered more and continued to eat all those bold, enjoyable flavors. Every dish was well balanced and an excellent representation of the cuisine and the ingredients used in the dish.

We stumbled on this spot while discovering the area and on a cool Friday afternoon. Being on a strip mall you won't think much of it initially. What got us to stay was when we saw a couple enjoying a shisha on the portico. We stop and made a great late afternoon dinner out of it. The Hooka was splendid and the Moraccan mint tea in a kettle was exquisite. Our server Barbabra was very accomidation and great help with the Shisha and menu choices.

Very busy place on a Friday night, waited a bit to be seated. Once we sat down, the service was very attentive and the food was off the hook!! We had lentil soup, which was full of flavor. Next we had their smoky baba ghanoush and yummy hummus as well as greek salad. So delicious! We then shared a chicken kebob which was very well marinated and flavorful and juicy. Best part had to be the hand made warm bread though, made right in front of us. This place is amazing, definitely worth a trip!

Pulled out the Yelp App, wondering what is good to eat around Aventura, Kabobji pops up. Place definitely lives up to its reviews here in Yelp. Nice big place, Middle Eastern food. Once you enter, you will see a man making fresh Naan.... in a fire place in the back, you can even see those inflate when they are cooking!!! wowza!!! Service is quick and right to the point. Will suggest if there is not enough food for the party. We started with the Morrocan soup, which was very tasty - lentils and meat. Ordered a vegetarian appetizer, all the ingredients were really fresh. Tabouleh was very good, barely had Bulgur Wheat but it was great! Grape leaves were yummy, hummus and babaganoush - the babaganoush had that smokey flavor that was great. Those naan were really good, served warm and freshly made!! Although a bit bready....don't know if the original naan is that bready. But the majority of naan I've has a bit less though. Other than that, definitely a place to go back...! Everything is super fresh and yummy!

This is good Middle Eastern food... It was my first time and the server gave us a few things to try. My fiancé and I ordered chicken and beef kabobs and tried lentil soup, their bread and garlic sauce with was really good and different. It was like a white paste that I've never seen before in this color. I am used to the yellow garlic sauces any other place would serve. The entrees are pretty big and ambiance is nice.

NPS = 9 Man...I have to tell you. I love this place. It is so relaxing, you can sit outside, enjoy hookah, and definitely get the taste of Mediterranean food! The food tasted fresh and it was reasonably priced. There is a ton of parking and I love that it is conveniently located right in front of Oleta Park. This allows me to get some amazing food when I am starving after mountain biking for a couple of hours. You can't go wrong with anything you order. But DEFINITELY order the tea. And get the whole pot, not just a glass or two. When you want to get away from the ordinary and try something new, come to Kabobji.

Delicious, authentic middle eastern food and shisha. Ambiance is nothing fancy or special-- this is a place you go to eat. The sampler -- babaganoush, hummus, tabbouleh, grape leaves and pita is the best I've had in Miami. Nom...

Great food, subpar service. Waiter only came by twice: To take our order, which he forgot and had to come get again and to give us our check which he enthusiastically gave us. We had to ask others for everything else because apparently our waiter was too busy being attentive to other tables. By the end of our meal we felt like we were being rushed out.

I LOVE their food. There is a new Arabic restaurant in Gulf Stream now about a half mile from my house, which despite the better outside seating ambiance, I still drive the extra 20 minutes to Kabobji because the food is NO COMPARISON! Heads and shoulders above the competition. I always get the grape leaves and babganoush and steak kebabs.. they make their bread in a brick oven right in front of you and when I'm in the mood for steak, there is no better steak around. It doesn't need any fancy sauces, it is just fire grilled to perfection every time! Do they marinate in yogurt or something? How does it always taste so succulent?! Hi*5, Kabobji. And I *crave* their babaganoush so much I frequently just order take out and store it in my fridge.

Large proportions. Decent prices. Great place to go to get your Mediterranean/Lebanese fix. They serve the most amazing homemade pita bread that is perfect to stuff your appetizers with. Unfortunately it's not served with hummus. Appetizers: Comes in large proportions. 2 appetizers is enough to share between 4 people. Meat grape leaves: I wish I had tried the veggie versions and not the meat. This was probably my most disliked dish I have tried at this place. It just tasted like dog food. The meat did not look appetizing at all. Baked Kibbeh: Probably my favorite of the night. Baked ground beef with cracked wheat and mix of seasonings. It takes you on a journey of reminding you of a freshly baked cake or brownie but it really is an amazing piece of meat with spice. Main Course Chicken Shwarma wrap. It was ok. Slightly salty. Served with rice or fries. I would recommend getting the jasmine rice which is cooked in butter and salt. The fries were just so so. Kabobji Veggie trio wrap: Served with falafel, tabbouleh, and hummus. HIghly recommend. I would definitely come back to this place, but would order just the baked kibbeh and the kabobji veggie trio wrap. I think this place's veggie options are more tasty and delicious than their meat options.

I love this place. We came for a weeknight dinner so I didn't have to cook which I love. We had their labneh. I would eat buckets of this or just order a couple in place of a meal!!! Love it. Then I had a falafel pita w/ fries (which I gave to the little one) sooo super good cooked perfect, had the right spices. The fattoush salad is also very good, nice crisp complement. Also hubby had some kind of a sausage pita and this was delish as well. I love middle eastern food and this place does it right. I'm excited to go back and try their entire menu LOL. Everything here was really good. Also they have outdoor seating and high chairs so taking the kids is easier, which I love. Will be back soon!

I have visited Kabobji during lunch time on Saturdays. I lalways order soup, kafta kabob or wraps and the garlic sauce is delicious. The food has a great flavor and is fresh. The ambiance is nice and the staff is pretty friendly. They do not have a kid's menu but you can have side orders for your children.

Was in traffic all day and starving with no plans for dinner I needed an option. I had spent all week unhappy with the usual wings, burgers, pizza food options. A medium sized restaurant that was very busy, a good sign. Got beef and chicken swarma for my wife to go. I wish I could of eaten there but I still had to make it home. The 10 mile trip almost killed me it smelled so good but swarma can't be eaten easily in the car in North Miami traffic. Full of flavor, very fresh and the best house made pitas ever. Really great I will be back. The garlic spread is the perfect accompaniment. The best is I have left over tomorrow.

Really good middle east cuisine at this place. They serve big portions and they make the pita bread in an oven right on the spot. I tried several dishes and everything was delicious. Service was efficient and friendly.

Plenty of food is served when you get a big plate, they give you choices between lentil soup and salad before your entree and both are awesome. There is warm fluffy pita bread at your command. went here 3 times and was never let down, never met anyone who didn't like the place and that is why it is full on weekends. will go again!

Excellent food! Absolutely everything we ordered was outstanding. Gets busy for dinner. Will be back soon. Portions are big and we had to take a doggy bag. Our bill was pleasantly surprising.

Wow! So good. The Beef Shawarma is so good. Ask for the garlic sauce on the side. This is a top dish for me. One of the dishes you keep eating even though you know you are full. The baklava was really good too. Much butterier that others I have had. This could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on who is eating it. Love this place. I will be back. All the way from Broward.

I (almost) wish I lived in SoFla again so I could go to Kabobji every week. My friend and I shared 2 dishes. They came with fattoush, a salad that was luscious with a light dressing of lemon juice and olive oil and lots of herbs. Our waitress told us one of them was sumac. The lamb shish kabob was really terrific - despite being cooked medium well to suit my friend's taste. (I prefer meat more toward the rare side.) The second dish we shared was Vegetable Ghallaba. It was peppers and onions and squash and I'm not sure what other vegetables in a delicious sauce. Both dishes came with rice that had spices and almonds in it. The dishes were sizeable and my friend had a nice meal or 2 to take home as leftovers. The waitress was just lovely and the service was attentive without being rushed.

Absolutely Love this restaurant! I've been a few times and there is Nothing to complain about but just about Everything to rave about! The pita is freshly made all day and is simply is the best I've ever had. I definitely ate waay too much of it but trust me it couldn't be avoided! I also had the hummus, Lentil soup, Fattoush (super fresh and flavorful), and the Samke Harra (white fish, yummm). I'm still thinking about it today and really wish I had leftovers, but is was too good to leave any behind. I love that I'm happy every time I eat there.

I don't normally give 5 star ratings but this place deserves more than 4. If you like middle eastern food then you will like this one. The baba rocked. Had a great smoky flavor. The hummus was good, not great. Freshly made pita bread. The combo kabob plate was great. I had beef chicken & chicken kafta. All 3 rocked. We had the m'jdara appetizer and it was great too. I can't wait to go back.

Nothing we ordered was the best I've ever had. The tomato kibbeh tasted a LOT like tomato pesto. The fattoush had a good flavor but I like a little bit of spice and a little less lettuce. Lamb ghallabah was blackened in the right places, but wasn't as seasoned as I expected. Etzel itziks has a richer, more flavorful hummus. The pita was fluffy and quite similar to a bread rather than the flattened pita you may expect. It is fresh, though! Overall, mediocre. If you're ever in St. Petersburg though, a place called Beirut Cafe for Lebanese will blow your mind.

I wish there were more stars to rate! 5 is definitely not enough. Service is amazing, food is phenomenal and the location could not please me more. Staff and owner are all very pleasant and there is not one item on the menu i haven't tried and i recomend them all. Even the specials as the mloukhiya, etc... Definitely a place to go to

First time I've ever tried this place recommended to me by a friend And I must say wow the food was actually very good we decided to try a variety of their dishes won't get into details but they won't let you down Yum Yum Yum. I give it five stars on the food three stars on ambience lighting needs to be a little dimmer cool music would be nice and the place would be probably a total hit.

I don't know... It's not bad and fresh I guess, but so bland. It's Middle Eastern food, for G--d sake! There is no zest, no spice, no oomph... On the other hand a lot of people don't know it or not looking for it. Portions are big though.

  • Priscilla A.

Food was delicious! Would have given 5 stars, except the wait time between when we ordered and received our food was a bit long. Otherwise everything we had was delicious. Recommend the makanek highly! They are sausages cooked in what tastes like a pomegranate vinaigrette. Very unique. For dessert you HAVE to try the knafe! Very tasty place, with friendly staff and a comfortable setting.

We really enjoy the food at Kabobji and stop by for lunch every time we are in Miami Beach and either on the way to or from Aventura. My only suggestion would be for them to offer pita sandwiches in addition to the pita wraps. The wraps seem to be filled and then toasted in some way that makes them brittle, hard, crumbly and generally not that tasty. Having the option of putting all those delicious ingredients into one of their fabulously fresh and puffy pitas would be so much better, at least for us. Their Greek salad is fabulous and their hummus and baba ghannouj have always been excellent.

I was hesitant at eating here at first since among all the restaurants in the area this one seemed the least busy. I was not disappointed with my choice however. I ordered a falafel wrap, Dulma and desert. All were a good size and very delicious. I am a vegan and this restaurant proved to be a good choice with great service!

This place is the best Middle Eastern place in all of Miami. I would dine here a lot with my coworker. I usually got the falafel plate which came with really scrumptious rice/ pita bread. The waiters are nice, the decor is nice, and the prices are great. The atmosphere is friendly and comfy. I took my Dad here and he loved his food, he is originally from NYC so he has tried dozens of middle eastern restaurants throughout his life.

If you like Lebanese food Kabobji is the place. My girlfriend likes their beef shawarma while i prefer the chicken shawarma wrap with their garlic sauce. Their humus is very delicious as well. The service and ambience are both always great and their food is always consistent. We usually order food for pick up because its so close to our home.

This place never disappoints. From the freshly baked pita bread to their meaty Hadida (sp?) Soup to the best basmati rice that accompanies their plattters. My favorite is the chicken kafta. I only wish they still made that amazing eggplant special they used to have on saturday nights.

One of our favorite spots in Miami to have good food. Still remember the surprise when we first tried it out. If you don't know what to choose, the sampler is a good option, which includes a big salad, several types of appetizers, then a big entry with rice and different meat. Good for three people. I have came back several times with friends and family to try the sampler. Try to leave some space for dessert, they are also amazing.

One of the best Lebanese restaurant that I have ever eaten. All of my favorites were delicious: chicken kabobs, tabouli. My husband had the kibbee which was awesome. The rice was soft and tasty and yeah, you have to have the pita bread, fresh and fluffy. They made the bread right on site.

Love, love, love this place! The service was great, and the food was even better! I had the mixed shawarma and it was phenomenal, the lentil soup was to-die-for, and the grape leaves were out of this world. You should make it a priority to visit this restaurant at least once if you live in the Miami Beach area. Trustttttt me!

Well this was my first time down here. Some recommended it to me. So finally we came down here to try it out. It was awesome. The main course portions were huge enough for two per plate. The food was fresh. It was so tasty.

Cheers!

Authentic food great dishes. Chicken, beef and the vine leave all have rich taste. Healthy and yummy at the same time!

I was not too impressed with the food. It was either over seasoned or not seasoned at all. The meat was cooked well though!

Kids loved it. We had beef shawarma wrap, grilled combo, chicken kabab, Greek salad, fatush salad and it was great. They were very understanding even when 1 of our boys dumped his water not once but twice.

Loved all of them. Me favorite was chicken kebab. Baklava was great for dessert and service was great. Will be back again

Food was delicious! The Beef Shawarma was full of fantastic flavor, even the plain rice with onions was delicious. We ordered take-out and it was prepared fast. The prices seem high at first but the portions are huge, we had two entire meals leftover. Can not wait to go again!

Best hummus I have had in a very long time, the fresh baked pita was just as amazing. We ordered tabouli salad with chicken shawarma and a sausage pita. Very good. I can't wait to come and try other dishes.

The food tastes the same and it's presented the same always, try the family platter even though it's not on the menu, that way you'll be able to taste many flavored and dishes... In case you've never been here before or tried this type of food. Service is great!

Plenty of food is served when you get a big plate, they give you choices between lentil soup and salad before your entree and both are awesome. There is warm fluffy pita bread at your command. went here 3 times and was never let down, never met anyone who didn't like the place and that is why it is full on weekends. will go again!

  • Kara T.

Wow!

Delicious, we've lived in Miami just a little over a year and finally tried this place. We had the beef and chicken shawarma both were so good and flavorful. The hummus was great, but I have to say not crazy about the pita bread, yea their warm and fresh but too doughy , soft, and dry. Definitely try this place out!

Food is great and delicious. We ordered the hummus, grape leaves and the chicken, onions and peppers sautéed with the garlic sauce. Would definitely go back.

This place is AWESOME. We have ordered delivery before, however were unimpressed. We decided to give it a dine in try, and it was AMAZING. We ordered the chicken kafta wrap, and the chicken shawarma. The food came out amazing, and I consider myself a mediterranean food connoisseur.

A must try!

I wasnt expecting the food to be this good. The lamb shish kabob and beef shawarma were made to perfection. Their salad introduced the spices splendidly.

Authentic lebonease food at it's best! Awesome chicken shawerma, fresh & tasty appetizers. Best middle eastern food in Miami. Amazing food & experience. Service could be tightened up a little, but hey when your eating food this could u seem to forget the rest.

  • Natalia G.

Bleh.

  • Anonymous P.

The food is decent, though not the best when it comes to Middle Eastern food. The prices are too high considering the location, ambience, and portion size. You can have a delicious $17 entree on Ocean Drive or Lincoln Road -- why go to a place that resembles a fast food joint in North Miami Beach?

    (3)
  • Nadduda S.

  • Lindsay L.

delicious, authentic, cheap. heaven. the tabbouleh is the real deal, mostly parsley w/only a little bulgur, not the all-bulgur crap you get most places. the hot sauce! holy sh't! delicious taste AND fire. felafel is the best i've had in miami--they dent the middle so you get lots of crust. hummus is great, baklava great. love the adorable waitress. i didn't like the lebanese wine that much.

Go!

I came here on a Saturday night with a friend and it was an exceptional experience. The service was great, the staff was very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious & their bread is out of this world amazing! I will definitely be back whenever i'm in the area =)

Amazing hummus, freshly made pita, and the chicken shawarma was delicious! Baklava was great! Good service. Will definitely return!

Delicious lamb kabob. Service is good. Prices are reasonable for the flavor and portions of food. I would recommend this restaurant.

Great place for Middle Eastern food in the Miami area. Make sure to bring family and friends and lots of appetite so you can try a little bit of everything with all of their sharing plates.

This place is so good my wife and I drive up from the Gables to eat here. Tabbouleh is very fresh and the kebabs and sandwiches are great! You really can't go wrong here! My favorite is the sujuk wrap!

Enjoy!

This place never disappoints. From the freshly baked pita bread to their meaty Hadida (sp?) Soup to the best basmati rice that accompanies their plattters. My favorite is the chicken kafta. I only wish they still made that amazing eggplant special they used to have on saturday nights.

  • Janessa F.

The best pita and hummus I've ever had. Fresh and hot out of the oven. Great ambiance and service. High quality food at an affordable price. I had the spicy fish it was excellent and so was the salad. My husband had the beef shawarma- excellent!!

The pita bread they serve is amazing! The quality of their food tastes so Mediterranean and so authentic! I had one of their dinner meals with lamb and was very impressed. Great customer service!!
